As part of the Open Doors ‘Get into construction’ week – held Monday 23 to Saturday 28 March – we welcomed local schools and the community to our Bridgwater site, in Somerset, to find out more about our UK battery manufacturing facility and the vast opportunities of working in construction.

Groups from schools, Woolavington Village Primary, Puriton Primary, Kingsmoor Primary and Chilton Trinity, took part in different workshops like bridge building and sustainability, organised by our construction partner Sir Robert McAlpine.

There was also plenty to see, including presentations, and a range of machinery set up by the Toureen Group, with SRM colleagues ready to answer questions and speak with members of the public.
