What you'll do...

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the planning, execution, and facilitation of project gateways, milestone events, and the development of governance frameworks across key initiatives. This role ensures that projects adhere to organizational standards, manage risk effectively, and align with strategic objectives through structured decision points and compliance with governance procedures. 

 

  • Being a part of the dynamic and high performing PMO team, your key responsibilities include: 
  • Support continuous improvement of project governance procedures, ensuring consistency across all projects and programs. 
  • Maintain project lifecycle processes, including stage gates, milestone reviews, and approval workflows. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and organizational policies. 
  • Prepare documentation required for stage gate approvals, including business cases, risk registers, and benefits realization plans. 
  • Engage stakeholders to ensure informed decision-making at key project checkpoints. 
  • Ensure project schedules, budgets, risk logs, and resource plans are maintained. 
  • Support issue resolution, change management, and project reporting. 
  • Generate regular reports on gateway status, milestone tracking, and governance compliance.

We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.

What you'll bring...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent (desirable)
  • Project management experience, ideally with exposure to gateway and governance frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or managing project governance, stage gate processes, and milestone reviews
  • Strong understanding of risk management, stakeholder engagement, and project lifecycle management
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
